As we smile and laugh, frown and raise our eyebrows, the muscles of our face contract. As this happens our skin also contracts forming wrinkles. The more the muscle contracts, the more that these lines appear. As we age, these lines can worsen and become static line which are visible even when we are not smiling or frowning.
Often the best treatment for this is a botox injection. Botox relaxes the muscle so that it cannot move as effectively leaving the overlying skin smoother and unable to create lines. Any static lines that are present before treatment may still be there after the treatment and will need to be addressed using other treatments such as dermal fillers or dermaroller. Botox injections can also be used to combat excessive sweating from the underarm.

As we age, the hyaluronic acid which occurs naturally in our bodies begins to break down resulting in the formation of static lines on the face, loss of volume in the cheeks and thinning of the lips.
Dermal Fillers such as Juvéderm Ultra and Restylane can be used to plump out static lines and return the volume to the cheeks and lips.

Dermaroller
Dermaroller
Dermaroller is a small roller containing hundreds of tiny pins 1.5mm in length. As it is rolled across the skin the pins pierce the skin causing the body to produce collagen. This collagen production results in the tighten of the skin. Dermaroller can be used to successfully treat acne scarring, ageing skin and stretch marks.

Skin Pigmentation can occur naturally as a result of the ageing process or from over exposure to the sun. There are a number of potential treatments including chemical skin peels, dermaroller and the Obagi Skincare Range all of which are available with Cosmetica Training.

For those of us with damaged or crepey skin, skin rejuvenation using mesotherapy can be used to rehydrate skin and brighten the appearance. A course of three treatments is usually required for maximum results.
Skin Rejuvenation is currently only available by booking a GOLD appointment with treatments starting from £100.

Tear troughs are the hollowing or formation of dark circles beneath the eyes. Dermal fillers injected on one of our Advanced Courses or by a GOLD injector can be used to plump out this area.

Hair Removal
Hair Removal
Waxing, plucking, shaving, tweezing and epilation are all ways to remove unwanted hair. However, a more permenant solution is an Intensive Pulse Light (IPL) treatment. By destroying the hair follicle which prevents hairs growing in the future, Our IPL machine can permenantly reduce the hairs that you do not want.
Prior to any course of treatment a patch test will be required so that we can identify the correct setting to effectively destroy your hair without causing problems with the skin. Treatment can begin seven days after the patch test. Prior to your patch test it is important to have no sun tan and not to have had a spray tan as this can cause a burn to the skin as the light used by the IPL machine can target the melanin.
Scarring & Stretch Marks
Scarring & Stretch Marks
Stretch Marks caused by pregnancy, weight gain or adolescence can be treated via a range of treatments including dermaroller or chemical skin peels. Better results can be acheived the sooner that the stretch marks are treated.
Scarring can also be treated with Dermaroller or Dermastamp.
